Our goal is to give a basic understanding about the space and firsthand experience of Black founders.

The global pandemic sparked a rise in startup businesses and entrepreneurship in the majority of Black areas. At the same time, we’ve also seen the struggles that Black entrepreneurs face in securing funding to support their businesses. Now in 2022, there is a surge of consumers rallying to support Black businesses, and just over 1.2 million African Americans making the move to be self-employed. It seems the time is now to capitalize on this renewed focus on Black businesses, but many still wonder how to take the leap.

Join BXKC for our next Rebuild Honestly forum featuring a panel of Black professionals who work in the startup space to give their perspectives on the industry and firsthand experiences as Black founders. The startup industry can be a game changer when thinking about creating wealth and jobs in our city. Don’t miss your opportunity to tap in and learn more!

  • Date: November 15th
  • Time: Keystone Sessions 1 pm – 2 pm
  • Location: Keystone Innovation District
