According to the USDA, in 2021, nearly 20% of Black individuals lived in a food insecure household and Black children were almost three times as likely to face hunger than white children. To counteract these disparities we must address the social, economic, and environmental challenges that plague our communities.

Join BXKC for our next Rebuild Honestly open forum event featuring non-profit leaders from Kanbe’s Markets and The Prospect Urban Eatery. Panelists will discuss how their organizations are looking to fight food deserts and health disparities that impact our community.
